To celebrate two years of being at our studio/workshop unit, we are opening up our workshop doors and welcome you to visit us during two days of make and take sessions and an exhibition of work for sale created by our Print Club members and PWW friends.
Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September between 10 - 4pm we will be at our workshop, Unit 28, Balmer Knightcott Industrial Estate, Banwell, BS29 6JN and hope you can join us.
We are excited to offer open access to our workshop space, giving you the opportunity to create prints making use of our equipment.
We are offering this on Fridays only at the moment. Members will need to complete a workshop induction first. Click Here

If you have an interest in Print Making in any of its many forms, then come along. Meet other like minded people. Whatever your level or where ever you are on your printmaking journey, if you have the passion for print, come along.
You may just want a couple of hours to work on a project whilst being able to talk to other creatives. You might want to discuss and share tips and tricks of printmaking processes. It may be that you would like to collaborate with others to have an exhibition or have a space to hire for workshops of your own. Sometimes it's just nice to have some company whilst doing some work. Sometimes we organise an activity to do whilst we are there. Lets create a community of Print Makers in our area.
We think it can be helpful to have a prompt for our Print Clubbers to make a start on a project. There is no pressure to create anything, only for it to stimulate creativity. The current prompt is the 'Autumnal season'. To be interpreted in any way and as a print of any size, no restrictions. You may want to choose the changing of the leaves, pumpkins, hibernation, harvest or something along the lines of the spooky and folklore. We thought these could be bought along to October's Print Club for everyone to see.
Whatever the reason, we would love to see you on Thursday. If you can make it, let us know by emailing us here, or drop us a DM on Instagram or Facebook.
Calendar
August - No Print Club. A theme has been set for work to show at the October Print Club. Create some work based on the theme 'Autumnal Season'. Ideas for this could be based on the seasonal changes or events that happen in the Autumn such as Halloween or harvest festival for example.
September 26th - Group 'Feast' Print. Everyone will get a piece of 10 x 10cm lino to carve on the theme of 'Feast' at the session. The plan will be to cut and print all the lino together to create a group artwork each. We may get around to printing at the end of this session, if not, we will print at the next print club.
October 24th - Seasonal themed print show and tell. Bring along your 'Autumnal season' themed print to share with the group. We will also finish off printing our lino from the previous session if required.
November 28th - Seasonal card exchange - For the final Print Club of the year we'll host a seasonal card exchange. Bring along a printed card with an envelope, we'll put them in a hat and take turns drawing one out to take home.
December - No Print Club
January - To be confirmed
Our space is a work in progress, but we believe it to be a creative, friendly, welcoming and inclusive space for all that visit us. We will always have the kettle on and biscuits to hand!
We aim to work within the community to bring Printmaking to the people!
Sustainability is important to us, so whilst we can't hope to be completely sustainable because of our creation of 'physical' products, we do try to make informed decisions about the products we use and the amount we use. We try to minimise paper waste and maximise it's use elsewhere. We recycle or reuse our papers where we can by keeping a paper 'stash' that we can use in future projects or workshops for collage and papermaking, to give a couple of examples.
In our intaglio processes, we are always looking at more environmentally friendly ways to produce our work and introduce these as they have been tried and tested by us. We use mainly vegetable oil to clean up oil based inks and keep the use of solvents to a bare minimum.
We are happy that a couple of our product suppliers have changed their packaging to plastic free and when sending products ourselves, we use plastic free packaging also and reuse where we can.
We can offer outreach workshops and are happy to discuss any ideas you may have for us to come to your organisation. Contact us here.
