6 Week Beginners printmaking course

This course over 6 weeks of 2 hours (Total 12 hours) looks at the techniques of paper based printmaking and is suitable for beginners or those that want to refresh their skills.  Each week is a structured session starting with demonstrations and examples of the process. Full support is given, with emphasis on enabling the learner to build understanding and knowledge of the process with the opportunity to share ideas and processes within a group environment.

We will be exploring techniques such as;

Lino printing

Drypoint

Screenprinting with paper stencils

Painting through a screen

Quick Collagraph

And Monoprinting with a press (not necessarily in that order!)

There will be a small group with a maximum of 6 participants.

Learners will leave the course with a small portfolio of printed work and a basic knowledge of each print process.
